Neil Young navigates his surroundings through rupturing routines via a long way home, scenic or not so scenic route. Young has a strong appreciation with the found object, the underdog: an overlooked, underestimated fragment; discarded, forgotten or transplanted residue left to the wayside.
Young completed his BFA at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Vancouver, BC (2020), and an exchange program at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles, CA. Young’s work has been shown in The Point Gallery, James Black Gallery, Ou Gallery, SPACE, and Otis College. He is a recipient of the BC Arts Council Individual Arts Awards and nominee for the BMO Art Prize (2019).
